I have tested it with other networks (testbeds) – it gets stuck sometimes with speed around 1MB, then back to ~9MB. I.e. it seems the speed drops suddenly.

I am using OPNsense for some time and it is a fine product. The only downside I have found is that it can sometimes have problems. At times it can freeze. I have seen this more than once. If that does not show on your tests it is probably due to your network.

The OPNsense community is very helpful and I am happy I got stuck in, because I have learned a lot in the process. I am using OPNsense for some time and it is a fine product. I just wanted to highlight the fact that OPNsense was the right thing to use for my scenario, and the fact that you can get it running on a very large scale – as large as you like, as long as you have the capacity.
